The Darkest Hour

It's a science fiction movie directed by Chris Gorak.

Two young men (Ben and Sean) flied to Moscow with the purpose to pitch social network software, only to find that their idea has been sharked by a rival. In a second passed, they are heading to a club in city and met another two friends, Anne and Natalie.

Suddenly the whole city light off and a parade light was falling from the sky. It was actually invisible alien and they vaporized one of the policemen followed by others. The crowds scattered around afraid of the alien's attack.

Ben, Sean, Anne and Natalie flee away from the danger and hide underground, coincidentally Skyler was found. Fast forward a week it become an empty city and five of them are the only survival.

Sean pops up a good question 'What's the dress code for world end?'

What are your thoughts?

Let's share my answer in the next post.

Personally I was amazed with the cat and horse armored with steel on their body. The Director reflected  Day and Night in large variance with those horror movies. Day Time, they gotta hide inside the building while Night Time coming out to seek food and continued their journey to find the submarine.

My friend, Winston commented the ending is very poor, not make sense cause initial they are thousands of aliens but after the team killed few aliens, just ended like that. What about those powerful aliens that destroy the building? I felt like the ending is bit hang too...

Anyway, overall concept is fresh and creative which rub off my childhood perception towards alien with big head and ugly face, which we could see, listen and touch.

Since today, I addressed my friend as Director Winston cause of his brilliant idea on the ending
Director Winston, where is your ending? I'm still waiting.

Overall rates are 8/10.
