X'Mas Dinner at WATAMI Pavilion

This Japanese Restaurant embellished with wooden fittings that brought up warmth feelings to the customers.

While waiting Eve and Win, we have topped up additional three ala carte from the premier set we ordered - Dashimi Mentai Cheese, Kusyiyaki Mariawase and Assorted Sashimi.

You guys will be pleasantly surprised with the Premier Set for 4 Person, just only at RM200++ with 10 dished served in reasonable potion that filled our stomach bloody full, just like having a buffet. But most incredible part, six of us enjoying this dish. Trust me, please don't order this if you are coming in four, for sure you can't finish it.

Finally Eve and Win reached KL from Krabi, Thailand. They kept commenting the food is nice, great and awesome.. In fact, they considered as food hunters if whoever familiar with them, so let's judge yourself.

Ala Carte - Assorted Sashimi (6 kinds)
Salmon is just nice with the freshness and thickness but tuna and squid are bit fishy. Can't deny the price offered consider cheap compare to other japanese cuisine.

Ala Carte - Kusyiyaki Mariawase
They are beef, chicken and squid flavor, the gravy taste nice.

Ala Carte - Dashimi Mentai Cheese
I'm a cheese and egg lover, that's why this dish is just nice to me. Must try!!!

Premier Set for 4 person (RM200++)
9 Dish + 1 Set Dessert + 1 Set Beverage

Dish 1: Tokyo Gyudon - Like!
In case you are not sure, this is beef bowl rice poached with egg. The meat is tender and gravy is just matched the ingredients. Remember to stir the egg through the rice before you start.

Dish 2: Wafu Pizza - Like!
Topped with teriyaki chicken, crispy and crunchy with perfect thin ratio.

Dish 3: Udon
Just a plate of plain Udon, nothing special.

Dish 4: Gyuniku Sukiyaki Nabe - Like!
Ingredients are nothing special but the soup taste full-body and smooth, 'hou hou mei'...

Dish 5: Teriyaki Chicken Salad - Like!
The grilled teriyaki gravy taste close to our chinese cuisine "char siew".

Dish 6: Tempura Moriawase - Like!
Crispy and served hot, just nice to eat immediately.

Dish 7: Wafu Hitokushi Steak - Like!
The meat is tender with aromatic gravy that is perfectly matched.

Dish 8: Tokusen, Sushi Moriawase
All sushi is fine except Ebi, is not fresh.

Chocolate and Match is still the best, Vanilla too sweet and Goma taste weird.

Lunch @ Pudu Restaurant Taste of Foo Chow

28 Dec 2011 - This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet area of Pudu which specialized in Foo Chow cuisine. Besides, it is also a sole distributor of raw Foo Chow fishball and wantan.

Restaurant Taste of Foo Chow started operating since 90's which has been shifted recently. (previously was adjacent to Pudu morning market).

On the recommendation of grandma, my father always buy raw fishball and wantan here; each packet (10pcs) only cost RM5.50 and RM7.00. Normally, I will use it as my cooking ingredients for chicken or maggie soup, the taste is perfectly matched.

Foo Chow Fishball Rice Vermicelli Soup
The specialty is on its size which is amazingly huge, featuring with pork and shrimp. The filling make it very tasty treat indeed.

Foo Chow Wantan featuring with Pork and Shrimp
The size of wantan is much larger than those standard wantan we could get from hawker stall

Foo Chow Red Wine Chicken Rice Vermicelli Soup
The aromatic of 'Xiu Heng' wine is so strong and this dish is mixed with ginger and 'hung chou' sauce (the sauce is available here, you may buy and do your own homecook  red wine chicken).
This dish evokes the memories of my grandma's cook during Chinese New Year.
Yummy!!! The festive is just around the corner, can't wait to taste it again...

How to Register A New Company?

Hey guys, have you encounter any issues in registering a new company under sole proprietor? Yesterday morning with the intend to register a new sole proprietor company, I have visited Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia with my sister's accompaniment.

The shock frozen on my face where there's someone who approaches us to provide company registration services at cost of RM220 net. Of course we rejected vehemently as I had been prompt it's only RM70 year?

How could this be happened? Just four simple steps, you can do it yourself.

Step 1: Take a form from counter 1 & 2 and fill it up
Step 2: Submit your photocopy IC and the form
Step 3: Wait the staff to call, and pay RM70 for yearly renewal
Step 4: Wait the staff to call, for document collection of 'perakuan pendaftaran'

The respond here is amazingly great during payments and form submission, within 10 minutes it's done as there are 9 counters operating concurrently.

But surprisingly they only have 2 counters processing documents, took about 50 minutes for my collection.
Hurray!!!
Within an hour we have got our new company 'Mayne Boutique', consider a great job from the government officer.

Hello everyone who is interested, please ensure you are on the right time as attached, and personally I suggest morning session will be the best time.

This is the receipt for 1 year registration. Second year onward, got to top up RM60 each year and maximum renewal will be 5 years.

This is the actual document, make sure there is a 'no.pendaftaran' on the right corner.

Yulek Rice Vermicelli

I'm supposed to lunch with my friends at Yulek famous "Lam Mien" but coincidently we passed by this newly opened restaurant and found that it was full of crowds. With no doubts, we just step in.

We have ordered it's famous prime dish Dumpling and Wantan Soup Rice Vermicelli and other dishes like Glutinuous Rice, Lobak Gou, Shuet Yee Tong Sui, Foo Chook Yi Mei Tong Sui and Ginger Tong Yuen.

Rice Vermicelli is a famous meal for Hokkian who celebrate occassions like Birthday, Wedding, Newly Born Baby and Lunar New Year which also known as 'mee suah'. This dish is not so common compare to other noodles and rarely finds a tasteful one.

Overall the services here is good but its bit too hot especially lunch time. Hey guys, remember this restaurant is off on Monday and Tuesday, so please make sure you come on the right time.

Wantan & Dumpling Soup Rice Vermicelli
I like the touch of this soup flavor with combination of dumpling (ingredients of shrimp and pork minced) but yet it's little salty. The Dumpling has a flavorful pungent taste.

Glutinous Rice
Due to my allergy to this rice, didn't try this out! But my friend, Kenny commented the rice is too dry, and lack of taste. Overall is poor.

Shuet Yee Tong Sui
With ingredients of dried longan and shuet yee, the sugar taste is just nice, not too sweet while the shuet yee is soft and mouthful.

Foo Chook Yi Mei Tong Sui
With ingredients of gingko nuts (bak guo), foo chook and yi mei, this combination makes it taste perfect especially boiled the foo chook till its fully melt. Personally I don't like gingko nut because I'm a sales, 'pantang' after take it got no sales coming in. Heehee...

Ginger Tong Yuen
The soup flavor too strong, I think less ginger is much better. The tong yuen contents are gomma and peanuts but I can't really differentiate either is home-made or instant from supermarket. Anyway, I still prefer traditional little tong yuen with contents of 'gula malacca' that I used to eat at my grandma's home.

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to Charmaine

Merry Christmas 2011 to everyone!!!

I would like to share my FIRST blog here in conjunction with this festive celebrations.

In the light of this jolly session, there are no better events than holding a karaoke session with gang of friends. Here we are in Red Box Gardens during morning session.

Ooopps, how come there's a pretty girl with a piece of cake? Nothing goes wrong, yes bingo, today is our pretty Charmaine's birthday celebration in conjunction of Christmas event.

Today, we got our special guest, Mun Lay that purposely travel back from Singapore to celebrate. Yaya, we are so glad that she spent her precious time with us. Thanks Mun Lay.

So awkward, why is it a lunch box filled with so many egg whites and cucumbers? Is this new menu from Red Box? No No, in fact is from our most feminine friend, Ah San. She's actually on diet. Amazingly she lost her weight for 5kgs in 1 month time which I'm going to share the recipe here in coming post.

Let's talk about the birthday girl... Happy Birthday to Charmaine, my sister-in-law!!! I think the last birthday celebration with her was six years ago during our Langkawi trip with college friends. That's also the first time she met her husband, Jerry Goh, what a memorable day for her.

Lovely new married couple...

Ah San posted 5 SPG @ Gardens, I thought she meant 5 'sei pok gai' but i have made a big mistake on this, which is a contrast. She's cool, dare to claim five of us as 'super pretty girls', but anyway admire her courage to do that.

Group photos, yeah yeah yeah!!!

My reviews on Red Box:
- Ambiance is great
- Food is so so only
- Sound system is great
- Service is great

Overall I have rated it 8/10 and nett price for this 3 hour session is just RM28++.
