Jung Won Korean BBQ Restaurant @ Ampang Hilir

Quartoze Mars (14 March) - Jung Won Korean BBQ Restaurant is just located right behind Saifol International School, same row with Great Eastern along Jalan Ampang.

This Korean Restaurant was recommended by our Birthday Girl, San Jie... When I first stepped in, got an amazing feelings on their outdoor ambiance, the place where we foot onto. It's a nice place for a large gang of friends, definitely not suitable for 2 person as romance place.

Our most Sot Birthday Soh Por with our Crazy Sei Kor (known as Sei Fong Min - Square Face also).

Few snaps on their indoor and outdoor ambiance.

The little food got more than 10 types which are refillable. That is the BEST of Korean food too.

The BBQ Chicken, Fish and Lamb. Where is the Pork? I didn't actually took pictures on it cause that moment was busy laughing with my words 'ONE PLATE OF PIG' instead of 'ONE PLATE OF PORK' during my order towards the waiter. So paiseh...
Tallboyz seldom service people, just like this BIG EVENT only he served with his gold hand. Everyone say 'Merci Beaucourp' to Tallboyz ya....

Group photo, cheese...
Total 15 of us and spent RM70+/person (exclude birthday girl).

Me and Alson playing the the cow girl, so fun...

East Oriental Hakka Cuisine @ Jalan Pudu Ulu

08 April - Pudu Ulu used to be a well-knowned territory to me as I almost have my family dinner every weekend at Yip Chong Hakka Restaurant. Until recently only I persuaded my papa to try out other restaurant at the same street.

Today, we pay a visit to East Oriental Hakka Cuisine. ordered 3 meal 1 soup (Sam Sung Yat Tong, Bak Fan Yam Zhong).

Their signature dish 'Yam Pork Rib Pot'. The chef must be infusing a lot of yam fragrance into it, this is one of the famous Hakka dish which I think is hardly find in those Chinese Restaurant. The appearance looked terrible but it's nice especially mixed with white rice.

'Chilli Clam', a bit spicy but it sent my taste buds into euphoria. 'Jet'aime beaucourp' (I like so much in French) more than my ordinary kam heong clam and clam in soup.

'Mah Poh Tau Foo' commented by my papa, which is amazingly wonderful. To me, I have no idea because I'm not a 'tau foo' lover. My papa and koko used to order / cook 'taufoo' as their primary dish wherever they are.

'Yellow Wine Chicken' soup, the wine infused was bit over, too strong taste. Personally I felt reduce the quantity by 20% will make this dish perfectly done. Overall is good.

Total payable amount was just RM67.00 for 3 dish + 1 soup, quite reasonable. As for your information, this restaurant has been operating since 2006. In year 2011, it has been shifted from Taman Maju Jaya to Pudu Ulu.

I think here's a strategic location for restaurant and the built up is amazingly huge, 20x100. Nowadays hardly find a long length shop unless those old one. Just located right next to Internet cafe and neighbourhood there are about five restaurants at the same street.

Overall food rated at 8.5/10

Lim Kee Pan Mee @ Taynton Cheras

Lim Kee Pan Mee Restaurant is specialized in Pan Mee with few common choices of soup, dry and with pork. I'm deeply in love with the soup, really taste nice and wish if I could cook as good as theirs.

Even this is just 22x70 shop, common size, but the boss had actually allocated at least 10 waiter/waitress/cooker to manage the crowds. Therefore, the best thing about it to shout out is not only their soup but also their service. Normally within 3-5 minutes, they will deliver our order no matter how crowded the day is. I'm used to be their regular customer especially during Saturday noon, after my French class.

Apart of the main course, we have ordered dumpling soup as our side dish as well. The dumpling taste great but the soup just can't compare with Pan Mee soup at all. The same row, few units away, we have take away Fruit Rojak from a stall. Oh gosh, the Rojak sauce is just matched with their prawn keropok. Nice nice, must try this out as your tea time.

Hey guys, same row they have fishball noodle and bitter guard noodle soup which I'm going to share this out in coming post.

Joy Cafe @ Happy Garden

Another day for my lunch after my appointment at Sri Petaling. This is a special cafe that offers quality and sumptuous food, much better than those Hong Kong cafe (Wong Kok, Yao Yat Seng, etc). In terms of pricing, it's almost close to Hong Kong style cafe.

I have ordered 'Braised Beef Noodle Soup'. The soup is mixed with white carrot and taste full body, while the homemade noodle is very 'tan nga', good bite.
For the 'Red Wine Pork Chop Rice' is Today Special, not listed in the menu yet. The pork chop is just nice to serve, curious how to make the sauce. Something special to try out...

The cafe served In-House coffee as well. If anyone love the taste, they can buy it off-the-shelf as its sell in instant packet. I'm not too sure about the pricing, roughly around RM14 to RM18, please check it out yourself.

For next visit, I will invite more friends to try out the dessert Tong Sui and other ala-carte (Soy Sauce Chicken/Nyonya Assam Fish Cutlet, etc). The service here quite good, ambiance and decor score moderate.
