Lunch @ Pudu Restaurant Taste of Foo Chow

28 Dec 2011 - This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet area of Pudu which specialized in Foo Chow cuisine. Besides, it is also a sole distributor of raw Foo Chow fishball and wantan.

Restaurant Taste of Foo Chow started operating since 90's which has been shifted recently. (previously was adjacent to Pudu morning market).

On the recommendation of grandma, my father always buy raw fishball and wantan here; each packet (10pcs) only cost RM5.50 and RM7.00. Normally, I will use it as my cooking ingredients for chicken or maggie soup, the taste is perfectly matched.

Foo Chow Fishball Rice Vermicelli Soup
The specialty is on its size which is amazingly huge, featuring with pork and shrimp. The filling make it very tasty treat indeed.

Foo Chow Wantan featuring with Pork and Shrimp
The size of wantan is much larger than those standard wantan we could get from hawker stall

Foo Chow Red Wine Chicken Rice Vermicelli Soup
The aromatic of 'Xiu Heng' wine is so strong and this dish is mixed with ginger and 'hung chou' sauce (the sauce is available here, you may buy and do your own homecook  red wine chicken).
This dish evokes the memories of my grandma's cook during Chinese New Year.
Yummy!!! The festive is just around the corner, can't wait to taste it again...
